Reader "Q and A" Day
Q: Why is Chuck Central's slogan "don't try anything funny"?
A: Well, we felt the title needed a subtitle which would be a phrase in pun form, implying a revised 2nd meaning of the old expression which itself employs the word "funny" not so much in a "funny ha-ha" but "funny surprising" vein. The line in it's new context functions as a comical contrivance, since it leads one to a deliberately ambiguous and speculative position, with regard to it's intended thrust.
As author E.B. White once observed, "Humour can be dissected as a frog can, but the thing dies in the process and the innards are discouraging to any but the pure scientific mind."

Another Q:Why the squirrel and the ant yelling "Hormigas!"?
Give us the A: please.
Oh wait..If the humour dies in the process and the innards are yucky, refrain from giving the A.
A: The "squirrel " is actually supposed to be a beaver (note the tail), and was deemed an inherently funny animal. The big toothed appearance, and frenetic behavior of the common Beaver, I think, comprises a naturally whimsical reputation that could be percieved as "cartoony".
An inadvertant but welcome comic bonus is the naughty double meaning of it's name, as when referenceing a womans hoo-hoo-dilly.
The hormiga yelling ant reperesents the snobbiest of humor situations, since it is what is known as an "in-joke" or "inside" joke. It's effectivenss is almost entirely dependant on being in the know, or privvy to the jokes origin (a drunk woman crushing red ants with a beer bottle on a restaurant picnic table, while enthusiastically exclaiming "HORMIGAS!" after every inscects execution). The "funniness" of this spectacle was compounded by the abruptness and high register of her vocilisation which puncuated each fatal blow. Only a handfull witnessed this, some of whom spontaneously and repetitively imitated the womans entertaining foible.
Does that answer your question?
Had to read that twice, but yes it does.
I'm dumb,you see.
Oh c'mon, you could never be dumb.
Well, you are reading this blog. But to my knowledge, that's the only dumb thing you've done. Don't be so hard on yerself.
