Cowtown Classic

Well Chucks, my previously lame ass rode the Cowtown Classic 35 mile this weekend. I don't get the name, since no part of the course is within miles of Fort Worth. Anyway, a couple hundred of us pitched in 22 bucks each for charity (Cook Childrens Medical Center) and the cops cleared traffic for us. The excess proceeds went for rest stops and support vehicles to sweep the course for lost, crashed or pooped out cyclists.
Awesome wide open countryside with several long grades to coast down serenly on a awesome 70-somethin degree saturday morning, SWEET!
This is one of the few times I've actually been happy to see a bunch of country cops.

The 4 differnt courses were color coded and worked pretty well.
Saw lots of cows, llamas and farm critters. Endured the occasional wafting of strong skunk fumes, but there was not much roadkill to dodge this time, except for a completely burnt to the ground high-end RV abandoned on hwy 1187.
Two months from today is the "WURST RIDE in TEXAS" from Austin to the WURST FEST in New Braunfels. (62.5 miles).

Excellent blog and thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts here. I am putting together a collection of photos and information on Dodge and so far I managed to cover some of the models, and you will find some cool Dodge 400 photos, Dodge 600 photos and high resolution Dodge Custom 880 photos. I hope you’ll find the website to be interesting, in case you want to pay it a visit.

Enjoy your day!
