Sunday Afternoon

Yesterday we wandered around lower Greenville. Went to visit the new "Good Records" store who was hosting a performance by the "The Living Blue", and afterward to indulge in some greasy cow.

Incidentally, we were surprised to notice that the Arcadia theater is still partly intact, burnt out and fenced off. Bummer. One memory about the Arcadia shared by many Dallasites.."I saw the RAMONES there!".

Happily, the the Granada Theater (not burnt) is still going strong as a music venue.

Anyway, twas a good day. Since moving from Deep Ellum, Good Records is even better with a large stage. The band was not bad either, doing "My Serrated friend" (which can be heard HERE) among others.

And finally, Snuffers did not disappoint as we consumed enormous bacon cheeseburgers saturated with satisfaction, and a wad of bacon/cheddar fries, that would rival any gourmet cuisine.

Yeah, it was hot out, but it was still better than going to Church or mowing yards. Then again, so are most Sundays when you're an agnostic apartment dweller.
